Care and Maintenance of your Windows after Treatment
Cleaning: Window films from Glasstint have a durable scratch resistant surface. We recommend using a good quality damp microfiber cloth. A mild solution of dish washing detergent and warm water can be used for greasy marks.
Curing: Curing times vary, however in the Nelson climate, generally film will be visually cured in a 4-5 days with 30-60 days for complete cure depending on film type and climate condition. Avoid condensation left on the surface of the film during the curing period, and this should be minimised during the life of the film.
Avoid: Bristle brushes, scourers, ammonia based or abrasive cleaners and condensation. Do not apply adhesive tapes or stickers on the film side of the glass.
Tip: Label a zip lock bag "window film only" and store dried microfibre cloth in the bag - this way the cloth cannot accumulate any grit from other uses that may scratch the film.
